Social Media Paradox
Why did we do this?

Why did we do this?

We made Social Media Paradox to help people see social media as a system, not just a personal habit or a private problem.

Social media is genuinely useful. It helps people coordinate, learn, organize, create, and find belonging when offline life alone cannot carry all of that weight.

It is also shaped by business incentives that can reward attention capture, prediction, comparison, and endless engagement. When those incentives are invisible, people can blame themselves for problems that are partly designed around them.

This project is here to empower and educate: to make the system easier to inspect, to give language to better questions, and to invite healthier civic and personal choices.
